Dandruff, also called Seborrhoea in scientific terms, targets the scalps of many people, young or old. Dandruff is a common scalp disorder amongst men which can be very annoying. It generally arises due to growth of bacteria and fungus on the scalp, dry and irritated skin, causing itchiness with extreme formation of dry skin flakes. Before I tell you everything men need to know about dandruff, and how to control it, let’s understand what causes it.
What Are Dandruff Home Remedies?
1. Coconut Oil & Lemon:
• Heat 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
• Add equal amount of lemon juice to it
• Massage the scalp gently with the mixture
• Leave it on for 20 minutes
• Rinse it off with shampoo
2. Baking Soda:
• Take 2 tablespoons of baking soda
• Add few drops of water
• Create a paste
• Start massaging the paste on the scalp
• rinse it out
• Avoid using shampoo and conditioner
3. Curd:
• Take 3-4 table spoon curd in a bowl
• Apply some curd to the hair and scalp
• Let it sit for about an hour.
• Rinse it off with a mild shampoo
4. Listerine Mouthwash:
• Take one table spoon Listerine mouthwash
• Add it in 9 -10 table spoon water
• Wash the hair with regular shampoo
• Rinse it with the above mixture at the end
• Leave it as it is (don’t wash with regular water)
5. Aloe Vera:
• Take an Aloe Vera leaf
• Using a knife or spoon take out the gel in a bowl
• Massage it gently on the scalp
• Leave it overnight or wash after 30 minutes
6. Egg Yolks:
• Make sure your hair is dry
• Take 1-2 egg yolks in a bowl
• Massage it on the scalp
• Let it rest for 30 minutes
• Rinse it using a shampoo
7. Aspirin Tablets:
• Take 2 aspirin tables
• Crush it into powder
• Take out some shampoo in a bowl
• Add the powder to it
• Mix it well
• Wash the hair and scalp using this mixture
8. Garlic And Honey:
• Take 2-3 garlic cloves
• Crush it in a bowl
• Add little honey to it
• Make a smooth paste
• Massage it on the scalp
• Rinse it after 5 minutes
9. Neem Juice:
• Take a bunch of neem leaves
• Grind it to take out the juice
• Collect the neem juice in a bowl
• Apply it on the scalp properly
• Leave it for 10 minutes
• Wash it with shampoo
10. Apple Cider Vinegar:
• Take 2-3 table spoon apple cider vinegar
• Add equal amount of water to it
• Leave it aside to set
• Take a regular hair wash
• Apply this mixture on wet hair
• Massage it on the scalp properly
• Leave it for 15 minutes
• Wash hair again
